ev.No. with the Governor of Hong Kong relative to the question of 1st Nov.
erecting a high power wireless telegraph station in the Colony.
The question by Mr. Hurd referred to in the enclosed despatch
to the Governor will be found at page 30 of the Official Report of the House of Commons Parliamentary Debates of the 5th of March, 1923.
2. A similar letter is being addressed to the Admiralty
General Fest Offie
and a copy is being sent to the Imperial Communications
Committee.

Letter from Secretary of State for the Colonies to the Governor, Hong Kong.
16th March, 1923.
Sir,
With reference to previous correspondence relating to the
proposal to establish a state-operated chain of wireless
telegraph stations within the Empire, I have the honour to
transmit to you the accompanying copies of a question asked
by Mr. Hurd in the House of Commons as to the policy of His
Majesty's Government in regard to wireless communication and
of the Prime Minister's reply.
